Double Seal Coat

Graded aggregate seal coat is designed for extra rough roads or newly based roads. This involves the application of two layers of HF150s emulsion with 12.5mm crushed aggregate. This method can be used in place of asphalt.

Graded Aggregate Seal Coat

Chip Seal Coat

This method is used for high volume areas (over 1000 vehicles per day), or dust sensitive areas such as residential. With CRS-2 emulsion and 12.5mm washed aggregate. 

We offer hand spray patching to efficiently repair and maintain road surfaces. Our pull-type injection spray patching method provides a long-lasting, cost-effective solution for potholes, cracks, and surface deterioration. Prevents water infiltration, extending the lifespan of asphalt surfaces.

Spray Patching Process

• Area is cleaned from all dirt and debris
• Area is then primed with W.S.P.E (Winter Spray Patch Emulsion)
• Damaged area is then filled with emulsion and aggregate mix
• Then a dry coat of aggregate is applied

Ant Construction uses an W.S.P.E. (Winter Spray Patch Emulsion) which is a rapid setting emulsion that can be applied in colder temperatures and made to flex during the cold winter months. The aggregate that is used is a 7 mm gravel small enough to fill small cracking,

Priming

Tacking

Tack coating is used when overlaying an existing surface. Tack coating creates a bond between the existing surface and the new material being overlaid.

Fog Coat

An emulsion spray applied to existing surfaces to seal fine cracks, rejuvenate oxidized pavement, and improve surface durability. Fog coating helps extend the life of roads while enhancing skid resistance.

Ditch Sweeping

The material is swept off the road into the ditch, Ideal for Rural roads, highways, and areas where roadside ditches provide safe material displacement.

Pickup Sweeping

The material is fully removed from the road surface and transported off-site.

Continues Sweeper System – Debris is collected and transferred via a conveyor belt into a tandem truck for off-site disposal. Ideal for larger areas, or when material needs to be recycled for future use.

Elgin Eagle Sweeper – is a powerful sweeper for efficient material pickup. Ideal for smaller streets, urban areas, and tight corners, where maneuverability is key.

Strengthening Roads

We provide Cement Stabilized Base Course as a durable and cost-effective method to strengthen roadbeds and improve stability. This process involves pulverizing existing materials to a depth of 6-12 inches. Teracem Powder or Portland Cement is then added a blended with water to create a homogenized mixture. Re-laying and compacting to establish a solid, load-bearing foundation. This method is an efficient alternative to full excavation, providing long-term strength and durability to the road structure.
